Our Directors and counselors are committed to helping you to arrange, pre-arrange and finance the funeral service you want.

Every person is different, and every person's wishes are different. For this reason, we have implemented many personalization options into the types of services you may choose. At Curran Funeral Homes, every funeral is unique. The same options are available to you for funeral pre-arrangement, so that, in advance, you, free of pressure, can choose a funeral that best suits how you lived your life.

We also offer the following services:

Social Security: We file a "Statement of Death by Funeral Director" with the Social Security Administration to report the death. If the deceased was receiving benefits or you think you are eligible for benefits you can contact the Social Security Administration at 1-800-772-1213.

Veterans' Benefits: We will file veteran benefit forms with the proper county if the deceased was an honorably discharged veteran. Honorably discharged Veterans are entitled to a burial flag, headstone, emblem marker of war served in; and possibly a burial and plot allowance. All we require is a copy of the deceased's discharge papers DD-214. We also can arrange to have Military Honor Guard service as part of the funeral service.

Railroad Retirement: We will file claim for any benefits due a retired railroad worker.

Pension death claims: We will notify employers and former employers of the death to start the claim process.

Death Certificates: We file the original death certificate with the local state registrar. We then request certified copies for the family to finalize financial affairs. We can also request past certificate information and copies of birth certificates as well.

Life Insurance: We can file life insurance death claims with most insurance companies on the family's behalf.

Obituaries: We arrange to have death notices and obituaries placed in the proper newspapers and radio stations.
